The FSL Approach

FSL's approach is all about adding value for our clients - and we do that by taking care of the details.

We are committed to supplying a consistently high quality of product - but more than that, we're committed to the highest level of service. With our expertise, proven track record and ISO approvals, we find that clients come back to us time and time again.

FSL Service

FSL’s unrestricted product range policy means we can supply all your product needs. Our scope of fasteners, fixings and associated components enables us to supply all of your workshop consumables as well, bringing the benefits of reliable supply and vendor reduction.

FSL does not just sell from stock. Our experienced sourcing team will scour the world for quality sources of product, from either stockists or manufacturers, when required.

FSL can offer special packaging and customised kitting solutions, combining convenience with performance, reducing inventory and costs.

To increase speed and achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy barcoding is utilised, wherever possible.

FSL receives deliveries into a “virtual warehouse”, quarantining product and preventing sale. We then inspect all product before acceptance into our facility. Our Inspection processes have been audited and approved to Delegated Source Approval level for many of our clients which means that we can ship directly to their operating stock without them having to inspect these goods themselves.

FSL Management Systems

FSL designs, implements and operates bespoke Management Systems for the supply of product direct to the point of use on the client’s premises.

Each system is tailored to the individual client to meet their exacting needs, reduce waste and non value added processes bringing true value and cost savings.

Management Systems are able to:

  • Reduce administration by eliminating the need for individual purchase orders,
  • Rationalise your supply chain,
  • Eliminate the need for Goods-In processes,
  • Free up internal resource by delegating inspection to FSL,
  • Maintain stocks at optimum levels,
  • Free up valuable stores space, by having stocks at point of use,
  • Save on ‘walking time’ from shop floor to stores,
  • Monthly consolidated invoicing, reducing the number of invoices being processed,
  • Provide the security of back up stocks at FSL,
  • Improving speed and accuracy by utilising barcoded systems.

FSL People

We at FSL are driven and focussed, quick to grasp issues and turn our client problems into opportunities. We have an impressive track record of delivering added value by helping strategic buyers save time and money through process improvements and by being courteous, professional and proactive in everything we do.

FSL Management Team

Carly Prickett

Managing Director

Carly joined FSL in 2008 as Client Services Manager before becoming Purchasing & Admin Manager in 2010.
In this role she lead the
team responsible for implementing SC21, gaining our first award (Bronze) in 2012. In addition, Carly has an HR Diploma and is an associate member of the CIPD. So, as SC21 and Continuous Improvement forms the cornerstone of FSL’s development, Carly was the logical choice to take over as MD of FSL, in 2015, where she could apply all her areas of expertise, along with the drive required, to take FSL into this new era.

Richard Woodward

Sales & Operations Manager

Richard joined FSL in 1988, starting in Warehouse Operations and moving through Stock Management, Quality and on to Sales. He became Sales Manager in 1997 and has overseen year on year growth throughout his tenure. Richard’s wealth of knowledge throughout all departments made him the obvious choice for Promotion to General Manager, in 2015, where he can use his in-depth experience to great effect spearheading all operational departments.

Jerome Le’Blanc

Quality Manager

Jerome joined FSL in 2013 and was quickly recognised for his capabilities and potential within FSL.
His technical knowledge and communication skills really help support his role as Quality Manager in driving the department forward. Jerome has been very much involved in many of the Continuous Improvement activities at FSL and his enquiring mind is perfect for these types of opportunities for the business to benefit.

Nicola Woodley

Purchasing Manager

Nicola joined FSL in 2008 in Client Services and has been in Purchasing since 2009. Nicola is passionate about Supply Chain Management and has helped implement new systems and processes within purchasing to enable us to positively service our full supply chain and build on the FSL Client Service ethos. Purchasing Manager was a natural progression for Nicola where she can use her knowledge and experience to drive our supply chain forward.

Simon Rogers

Warehouse Manager

Simon joined FSL in 2004. He took on the role of Warehouse Manager after 7 years in a senior role within our Client Services Department. FSL IT & Contingency Planning

FSL understands the importance of IT to make us more efficient, effective and ultimately provide a better service to our clients. From our tailor made Contact Management and Enquiry system to our OCR Scanning system, providing document storage and instant retrieval, we are always working to improve our fully integrated systems. IT is, therefore a key area of investment for us.

Real time data back-up to our remote hosting site in Milton Keynes underpins our Business Contingency Planning. This data is stored in a fireproof suite. In an emergency, FSL would relocate to our dedicated disaster recovery suite in Milton Keynes, where we would have instant access to all crucial data and information. Disruption to clients would be minimised. Of course, we aim to never have to use it, but having it in place underlines our commitment to clients.
